HR Advisor

The HR Advisor will work alongside the HR Manager resolving HR-related queries and managing the employee lifecycle for colleagues across different locations. Ensuring compliance with employment legislation and the Ride Shotgun values. The HR Advisor will work closely with senior management to foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture.

Key responsibilities

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, pre screening, interviewing, and hiring.
  • Oversee a seamless onboarding process to ensure new hires are integrated effectively.

HR Administration

  • Manage HR systems, records, and reporting.
  • Oversee payroll coordination, employee benefits, and leave management.
  • Monitor HR metrics and provide regular updates to senior management.

Employee Relations

  • Point of contact for employee queries and concerns.
  • Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Support the management with conflict resolution, performance issues, and disciplinary actions when necessary.

Performance Management

  • Oversee the performance review process, ensuring alignment with agency objectives.
  • Support managers in setting goals and providing constructive feedback to their teams.

HR Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with UK employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain and update HR policies and procedures in line with legislative changes.

Culture & Engagement

  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives

Required skills

  • Proven experience as an HR Advisor or similar role, preferably within a creative or marketing environment.
  • Knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in HR systems.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent) is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Location and working hours

This role will be based in our Leeds office, 9am – 5.30pm, Monday to Friday, however, part time working will also be considered. The role is open to hybrid working. Occasional travel to our other offices may be required.
