As a member of Travis Perkins PLC, Benchmarx is also part of a group of leading companies in the builders’ merchant and home improvement markets in the UK. They specialise in high quality kitchen joinery, worktops and appliances in a wide choice of ranges to suit any home on any budget.

EXPECTED

Benchmarx boasts over 150 branches, yet with when Covid-19 restrictions came into force that all-important store footfall was suddenly massively reduced.

They needed a way to replicate this experience and maintain traffic to their website. Benchmarx needed an interactive solution to build brand engagement that wasn’t a quick-fix gimmick, but rather something that would showcase the premium nature of Benchmark’s kitchen range in a highly credible and engaging way.

EXCEEDED

We utilised our extensive CGI capabilities to create a fully interactive virtual showroom that could display the large and diverse range of Benchmarx kitchens, including varied fascia designs, colour options and price points.

With location and scale not an issue for CGI, this ‘showroom’ was housed in a large, aspirational 360° setting that complimented the aesthetic look and feel of the premium kitchen ranges and included interesting interior design features. Intuitive controls encouraged users to easily travel from set to set and interactive touch points linked to relevant content including product descriptions, videos, brochures and even through to making booking consultations.

Crucially, all this integration could happen without having to leave the Benchmarx website. We also created two smaller room set tours showcasing unique designs featuring products such as utility rooms, home bars and dining areas.

Another advantage of this fully interactive showroom is replacing discontented or updated products is a straightforward process, with no complicated re-renderings or refits, just a case of neatly slotting a 3D file into place.

Extending the CGI content

Alongside producing the product photography for their kitchen brochure in photorealistic CGI, our client further maximised their CGI assets by commissioning short social media focused promotional videos.
