Building trust and visibility for a brand tackling menopause stigma head-on.

The challenge: a stigma with no easy way in

Over half the population goes through menopause, yet it’s still something talked about in hushed tones, if at all. When Dr Clare Spencer and Helen Normoyle set out to build My Menopause Centre, an online clinic offering both expert care and free public information, they were tackling two problems at once: a lack of accessible, medically credible information, and a market with no obvious place for women to start.

The brief was to bring that idea to life. Not just a website, but a destination people could trust at every stage of their journey, from first Googling their symptoms to booking a consultation.

The solution: information at your fingertips

We worked with MMC on strategic insight, brand development, design and build of the website, third-party integration, an SEO strategy, and over 100,000 words of expertly written content. Every piece was grounded in keyword, editorial and competitor research, then medically reviewed by Dr Clare Spencer to make sure nothing was published that wasn’t accurate.

The research told us something telling: a huge share of search volume was people asking the basics. What is menopause. How long does it last. So the content strategy started there, building outward from fundamental symptoms and questions toward the more considered, comparison-stage content that helps someone choose what to do next.

The site itself was structured around that same journey, guiding visitors from first discovery through to comparing options and, ultimately, booking a consultation.

At the centre of the site sits the Menopause Questionnaire, built on the Greene Climacteric Scale (GCS), a clinically recognised tool.

We also built out MMC’s email marketing in HubSpot, helping turn one-off visitors into a genuine community through automated journeys for pause., MMC’s online community, and the clinic itself.

The impact: a trusted destination, built to grow

In its first year alone, the Menopause Questionnaire was completed 11,683 times. The SEO strategy paid off too, with fewer than 200 keywords now ranking in the top three search results, putting MMC’s content in front of exactly the people searching for answers. And the content itself is doing its job in the inbox as well as on the page, with email open rates reaching 48%.

But the real impact is harder to put a number on. MMC has become a genuine source of free, trustworthy menopause information, one of the richest of its kind online, built by a small team who wanted to do something about the silence around it.

We have been so impressed by the entire team and working with you has been absolutely brilliant experience.
